Meet the Candidates Night, Sponsored by the Rush Recreation and Park Association (Rush RPA)

WHAT: Meet the Candidates Night for those running for office to represent Rush, including candidates for Monroe County Legislature 
WHEN: Tuesday, October 15, 6:30 to 7:30 PM
WHERE: Rush United Methodist Church, 6200 Rush-Lima Road, in the sanctuary
SPONSORED BY: The Rush Recreation and Park Association (Rush RPA)
  • We will give each candidate 5 minutes of time to introduce himself or herself. Please no AV presentation; a microphone will be provided.
  • No Q&A from the audience and no debate. There will be light refreshments in the area outside the sanctuary after the candidate introductions.

The RUSH RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION, INC. (Rush RPA) is a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of New York State law and a 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt organization  It is is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, non-partisan organization with the mission to preserve and protect park, recreational and natural land assets of the Town of Rush for the benefit of the public.

September 25th, 2019 - Town Board meeting at 7 pm, at the Town Hall, Rush, NY

October 9th, 2019 - Two Public Hearings at the Town Board meeting, at the Town Hall, Rush, NY
      1. 7:15 pm Public Hearing to considering amending the Zoning Law of the Town of Rush, Chapter 120 of the Code of the Town of Rush by amending section 120-74 of the Zoning Law of the Town of Rush regarding solar energy systems.
    2. 8:30 pm Public Hearing on Opting-Out of RPTL 487 - considering amending Chapter 103 by adding provisions to Article VI and Section 103-12 of Real Property Tax Law §487 for any solar or wind energy systems and for any farm waste energy system.
